I have gotten a lot of fortunes in my time.  I have thrown every single one of them away and forgotten them.  All except this one - which moved me.   I’ve kept it for almost ten years.   Just took this on my back porch. :)

I’m quite sure it’s this fellow we have to thank for the look and feel.  I’m still digging around, but his hand is all over this movie — and what a fine job he did. I find it very telling that every single Art Director has zero social websites or even regular websites.  The concept artists have regular gallery websites, but no social websites…  No wonder I don’t do much work :D  Google+ sucking up my time! hahahhaha

Just returned from seeing Snow White and the Huntsman Don’t worry, I give spoiler-free reviews! :)

I liked it.  The imagery was amazing, I want to dig up who was the Art Director on this film and who he had as concept artists.  They’re the ones who do all the amazing stuff, ya know ;)  They draw it — then the rest of the whole entire studio brings it to life, but all this beauty springs from the minds of a few.  Artists, that is. I’d really like to hand it to them, for the “Sanctuary” scene in particular.  Whoever designed it really knew their stuff.  The tree was perfection.  The White Hart was perfection.  It was magical and beautiful and felt alive.  Loved it!

Overall it was a perfectly good film and I imagine it will begin the rounds of my ‘stick in a movie for an ambient vibe’ soon enough when it’s out on DVD. :) As far as the actors go - Charlize Theron stole every scene she was in.  But Kristen Stewart really did a great job as Snow White.  There was one scene where it was just her expression that told the story, and it was wonderful.  To tell more would spoil!  Chris Hemsworth was doing the heroic thing which he does so well.  But I believed his monologue — he’s got some chops I’d like to see a director/casting agent look past his muscles for once.

+Ivan Makarov Has put together this awesome idea - Plus One Magazine, full of Photos of our lovely Google+ people! I sure wish I had heard one single thing about this earlier.  I hadn’t heard anything about it until today, when we could vote.  What a shame.

So - go vote for your favorites and see which photos make it into the Magazine!! Edit;  I went through all 488 photos!  It took me almost an hour! haha :D

If you haven’t heard of David Arkenstone before, please let me introduce you to him.  He’s one of my all time favorite musicians of all time and I absolutely adore his music.   Yes, it has a Fantasy flare.  I don’t care.  It makes me feel wonderful and adventurous and it takes me away every time.
